Virtual Students of Occidental

In a time where students all across the world are sent home to continue their studies, we wanted to document how some students of Occidental felt about the situation. We asked students that we knew through classes, greek organizations, athletics, and clubs to take time out of their day to partake in our Media Arts & Culture project. When conducting our interviews, we quickly realized that our interactive documentary became more than just a class project. The video collage we created represents the voices of our student body during this challenging period. Additionally, the Google Map provides viewers with an inside glance into each students' surroundings while they

were on campus and now in quarantine. Although Virtual Students of Occidental only had 12 students participate, the varying grade levels and majors had a striking amount of similarities backed by differing personal anecdotes.

We wish all of our student body and faculty well during this time and hope that our piece will help bring back some sense of community to our tigers.
